Acel Product:LEO Deploy

Coordinated field installation across Africa and Asia-Pacific — Timor-Leste, Djibouti and Rwanda — for Marlink and the World Bank.

The Challenge

Marlink required dependable in-country field support to deploy LEO connectivity at World Bank locations across three distinct operating environments. The project extended across Djibouti and Rwanda in Africa and Timor-Leste in Asia-Pacific. Each country presented different site conditions, access requirements, resource availability and logistical considerations. Marlink needed one field-services partner capable of coordinating qualified local technicians while maintaining consistent installation and reporting standards across every location.

Acel's Solution

Acel provided centralized project coordination and in-country field resources to support the multi-country deployment. For each location, Acel's teams coordinated site access, reviewed installation requirements and completed the field activities necessary to bring the LEO terminal into service — managed through a consistent deployment process, giving Marlink one point of coordination across all three countries.

Scope of Work

  • Pre-deployment site coordination
  • Review of site conditions and installation requirements
  • Deployment of qualified in-country technicians
  • Terminal mounting and installation
  • Interior and exterior cable routing
  • Connection to customer network equipment
  • Terminal activation and network integration
  • System commissioning and connectivity verification
  • Installation photographs and site documentation
  • Completion and customer-acceptance reporting

The Result

Acel successfully supported the installation and commissioning of LEO connectivity at World Bank locations in Timor-Leste, Djibouti and Rwanda. The project demonstrated Acel's ability to coordinate cross-regional deployments while applying consistent technical, documentation and project-management standards in each country. By combining centralized oversight with qualified local field resources, Acel enabled Marlink to extend its service delivery without establishing separate field organizations in every market.
