Leadership Team


Gary Hunter

Over 20 years of leadership experience working in both the commercial and government sectors. Gary has held various positions in marketing, management, technology and finance to include working for: Mellon Bank, American Express, Bank of America, and various U.S. Government agencies. He earned a B.S. degree in Economics and Computer Science from Allegheny College, Meadville, PA, USA. In addition, Gary has completed graduate level coursework in Supply Chain Management at the University of Liverpool, Liverpool, UK. Gary also received an Honorable Discharge from the U.S. Marine Corps and is a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer having served in the Central African Republic and Republic of Mauritania.


MANAGING DIRECTOR - Acel Technologies, Ltd (Uganda)

Japheth Kenyi 

Over 15 years of management, IT and logistics experience in 11 countries.  Japheth has worked at senior levels in the private sector and with NGOs, including Mercy Corps, Canadian Physicians for Aid and Relief, and Acel.  He is a practical and strategic leader who is responsible for leading the growth of Acel - deepening and strengthening global IT support services to clients.  Japheth earned a B.A. degree in International Relations from United States International University in Kenya, and has IT certifications from learning intuitions in France, USA, and in East Africa. Japheth is a Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) and completed Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) certification courses.


Berhanu Mamuye 

Over 10 years experience in the telecom and IT industry. Berhanu has extensive private sector experience working in 10 countries.  He has held senior IT posts with Ethiopia Telecom and Acel. He oversees and mentors Acel's regional and local field engineers to support and ensure quality services.  Berhanu is a graduate of Haramaya University and holds multiple certifications including Global VSAT Forum (GVF) and Cisco Networking. He is formally trained and has advanced knowledge of communications technologies including: data connectivity, video conferencing, IP Telephony, Internet services based on satellite backbone, and high-level satellite and terrestrial based broadband communication systems.


Anicet Fendjio


Anicet has over 10 years experience as a Telecommunications Engineer.  He has a Bachelor's degree in Computer Networking as well as earning a degree in Telecommunications.  Anicet holds several advanced Cisco certifications and is GVF certified.  He plays a critical leadership role in managing the operations of Acel - Cameroon and supporting projects across central Africa.  He has experience in terrestrial and marine technologies.



Roland Madigm


For over 5 years, Roland has played a key role in managing projects for Acel in Chad.  He is GVF certified and has also received specific training to support several customer specific technologies.
